Meetings are places for dialogue between citizens where everyone speaks freely while respecting the rules of mutual listening. They should allow to build a common reflection on the issues and challenges facing the Mediterranean area and define the axes of reflection and action for the future but also deepen the theoretical concepts and themes. They must also allow to enhance the dynamics of the ACM.

The MCA Foundation attended the Third Panel of experts of the UfM Regional Forum “Mediterranean in Action: Youth for Stability and Development” which focused on the role of international institutions, civil society and cooperation agencies as central actors in socio-economic development and in the promotion of regional integration policies.

Hablar del Mediterráneo como un mar de diversidad cultural y social es una realidad que se ha configurado tras siglos de relaciones entre las dos orillas, sin embargo a nadie se le escapa que la actual situación de amenaza permanente de desestabilización de la zona, esta llevando a que hoy nuestro mar común se convierta en un elemento de distanciamiento entre dos mundos nada diferentes.

Entre las diferentes actividades que llevó a cabo la Fundación ACM en el mes de diciembre destaca la organización de su Consejo Consultivo que tuvo lugar en Valencia los días 2 y 3 con la participación de expertos en derechos humanos, desarrollo sostenible y ciudadanía de 11 países de la cuenca mediterránea. El encuentro culminó con la publicación de la Declaración de Alepo en la que se hizo énfasis en que «esta enorme crisis humanitaria concierne a todos los ciudadanos y ciudadanas del Mediterráneo. Sus acciones civiles y comprometidas deben alertar, informar y ejercer una presión efectiva sobre las políticas a fin de detener inmediatamente este asesinato».

El curso se organiza en cinco módulos que se pueden cursar de manera independiente. Ahora están abiertas las inscripciones para cursar el módulo II, que se impartirá en los meses de enero y febrero de 2017.
