The Mediterranean Citizens’ Assembly Foundation (FACM) and the Euro-Mediterranean University EMUNI have signed an agreement in order to coopearte in priority projects in the Euro-Med region, especially in the field of higher education. Both institutions have as one of their fundamental lines of action the promotion of the education and training of youth in the region, encouraging the understanding among people and focusing on the diversity.

The scope of cooperation will focus on the organization of conferences, seminars, the promotion and support of student and staff exchange programs, including the facilitation and supporting of internship programmes, as well as the joint activities and projects that have been considered as priorities in the region, such as regional stability, human development, integration in the Mediterranean, youth employment and inclusive economic growth, women’s empowerment and sustainable development.

The ACM Foundation is a citizen’ network of dialog, proposal and action, founded on the democratic values of freedom, peace, respect for cultural diversity and enviromental responsability. It aims to favor the emergence of a common voice and a common citizens’ action in the área of the Meiterranean, trough the action and involvement of citizens, both men and women, trough a united and postive “community of destiny” in the Mediterranean.

The EMUNI University is an international association of universities with headquarters in Slovenia. It represents one of the six projects of the Unión for the Mediterranean, approved in the frame of a common declaration, adopted in Paris on 13 July 2009, and contributes with its activities to strengthening intercultural dialogue with the mandate of developing of specialised study programmes, in Science and Research area, among the Euro-Mediterranean universities.
