The FACM condemns with all its strength the terrible attack suffered by the Sufi mosque Al-Rauda, in the town of Bear al-Abd / Egypt and that has caused hundreds of deaths and injuries. The FACM affirms that the cultural and religious diversity historically existing between our peoples should never justify fanaticism and violence.
The FACM and its entire network of Citizen Circles, present in the Mediterranean countries, advocates dialogue, mutual respect and the peaceful solution of conflicts. Both citizenship and governments must work, each within the scope of their responsibilities, to make human rights prevail and create the conditions for equality, justice and peace.
